Macalester: Another College Video

College presidents tend not to be terribly attention-grabbing people. Mostly middle aged academics preoccupied with funding and the U.S. News and World Report rankings, these are not people who let their hair down much. With the possible exception of someone like Sir Patrick Stewart, college administrators are a boring lot.

Unless, however, we’re talking about Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota. Perhaps in honor of President’s Day, on Monday Macalester President Brian Rosenberg released a side-splitting video about his day in office:

While not as overproduced, or as melodic, as the videos recently released by Johns Hopkins or Yale, this one is seriously hilarious.

Witness in particular Rosenberg reading what appears to be a Reader’s Digest condensed book on the treadmill (at 1:03) and his awkward discussion with students in the dining hall (at 2:35): “You guys watch that show Jersey Shore? That show is bananas.”
