71 years ago today, Marines landed on Guadalcanal Island, in the first U.S. offensive in the Pacific theater of World War II.

So I just can’t help but post some music from one of my all time favorite Georgia-based musical acts, Guadalcanal Diary. Here they are performing “Things Fall Apart” at a PETA benefit on the Mall in 1988.
