More and more American colleges and universities depend on foreign students to make sure their costs are low. But those students are increasingly going to other countries to study and the current political attitude towards immigrants is partly to blame.

The National Labor Relations Board has ruled that Harvard prevented a free and fair election on forming a graduate student union, clearing a path for another vote.
Amherst College announced it is planning to admit Puerto Rican students displaced by Hurricane Maria seven weeks after the story devastated the island.
Harvard faculty met Tuesday afternoon to reconsider a proposed ban on fraternities, sororities and other single-gender social clubs. After recommending the College prohibit students from joining the groups, they may be backtracking after receiving flack from former students.
