I’m praying for all my friends and family in the Atlanta area, where 200,000 people are already without power even as the snow and ice gain momentum. Having lived through several southern ice storms, I can tell you they are more dangerous than any blizzard. And the loss of trees–both in the storm and in later “preventive” measures–in what was once called “a city in a forest” could be catastrophic, too.
