Claire Iseli is vice president for circulation and business at the Washington Monthly.
Claire has been managing the business, circulation, and financial side of the Washington Monthly since 2001. Her background in magazine management and book promotion includes 19 years as director of circulation, advertising, and business management for The American Scholar, published by the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Before that, Claire worked as marketing manager and copy writer for the National Academy Press, the publishing arm of the National Academy of Sciences/National Academy of Engineering/Institute of Medicine. She also worked as a consultant for several organizations, including Catholic University and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Claire has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from American University.
