TOMORROW’S NEWS TONIGHT….I’m off to bed, but here are some links to stories in tonight’s newspapers that will probably get more attention tomorrow:
-
CIA Director George Tenet is apparently ticked off at being made a scapegoat for faulty WMD intelligence and plans to set the record straight in a speech at Georgetown University. Let the bureaucratic catfighting begin!
-
President Bush has finally caved in and allowed the 9/11 commission to have two more months to finish its investigation. The report is now due to come out on July 26.
-
Apparently Anton Scalia got a free airplane trip from his pal Dick Cheney when they went duck hunting together last month. Doesn’t Cheney have a case coming up before the Supreme Court sometime soon….?
-
Ahmed Chalabi is spending more time lobbying his friends in Washington than he is on his duties in Baghdad. That’s a shocker from a straight shooter like Chalabi, isn’t it?
See you tomorrow.
