The things one learns from Hannity

THE THINGS ONE LEARNS FROM HANNITY…. In a case like this one, you have to wonder if the host and guest can even hear themselves speaking.

On Fox tonight Sean Hannity called the Obama team’s plan to have the Census director report directly to them “the biggest White House power grab ever.”

His guest, some guy named Karl Rove, told Hannity he just might be right.

Yes, Hannity has suddenly discovered his deep and abiding discomfort for “White House power grabs,” and has concluded that routine White House interest in census oversight isn’t just unprecedented, but is also a power grab of historic proportions.

Karl Rove, who knows a little bit about White House power grabs, believes it’s entirely legitimate to criticize Obama’s move as outrageous.

I would enjoy the satirical performance art much more if I thought the entertainers were in on the act.

Michael Crowley added, by the way, that Hannity also hosted a panel last night to discuss current events with Joe Piscopo.

It’s quite a news show.
