Carey on C-SPAN

CAREY ON C-SPAN…. Kevin Carey, the policy director of Education Sector, an independent think tank in Washington, appeared on C-SPAN’s “Washington Journal” this morning, talking about the Washington Monthly‘s College Guide issue, which he helped edit.

The appearance is online here (fast-forward to the 2 hour, 3 minute mark), and runs about a half-hour. Definitely worth checking out.

In addition to the great job Carey did with the new issue, he also has a great piece, “College for $99 a Month,” on the next generation of online education. It’s a really interesting look at how online courses pose a credible threat to traditional, brick-and-mortar institutions.
