‘HE’S MADE ME A LITTLE UNCOMFORTABLE HERE RECENTLY’…. Just how farcical has Donald Trump become lately? Glenn Beck — Glenn Beck — appeared on Fox News on Friday to argue that Trump has “made me a little uncomfortable here recently.”
Apparently, Beck thinks Trump has become excessive in his embrace of conspiracy theories. No, I’m not kidding. Here’s what Beck told Bill O’Reilly:
“[T]here’s something reasonable to, you know, a reasonable conversation. If you don’t believe that he has the birth certificate, you can say, ‘I don’t believe he has a birth certificate.’
But then he goes into ‘I do not believe he has a birth certificate.’ Then he releases one that’s worse than Obama’s. And then he comes back, and he says on your program, ‘He might be a Muslim, too.’ I’m like, come on!”
Beck soon added, “I have respect for Donald Trump, but that’s the last thing the country needs is a show boat…. I would hope that we could get serious candidates who could shake things up by not saying provocative things just by stating the truth of what’s going on.”
I’m not making this up; it’s from the actual Fox News transcript.
Glenn Beck is “uncomfortable” with Donald Trump’s extremism and conspiracy theories; Beck doesn’t want a “show boat” in power; and Beck wants a “serious candidate” who won’t needlessly peddle “provocative” remarks.
We should all be thankful that Beck’s comments didn’t cause a rift in the space-time continuum.
