Hi everyone. I’m Jesse Singal, and I’ll be your Political Animal blogger this weekend. I’m a first-year master’s student at Princeton’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Policy, where I am studying inequality in America and the social dynamics of eating in an undergraduate dining hall as a 28-year-old. Before I arrived in the tropical wonderland of central New Jersey, I was an opinion writer for The Boston Globe, web editor of the Monthly, and an associate editor at Campus Progress.

I’m originally from outside of Boston and am a big Patriots fan, so football will not be on the discussion docket. Also, I was into Stephen Colbert before he was cool.
