Well, hope the green eye-shades among you have enjoyed Ryan Budget Release Day and all the numbers and charts. Federal budget battles are indeed the show that never ends.

Here are a few leftovers from the day’s events and analysis:

* Today’s WaPo has a long, interesting article on changing perspectives about productivity and the decline of U.S. manufacturing. If it sounds familiar to you, it may be because you read it first in the Monthly in Michael Mandel’s Jan/Feb article on “The Myth of American Productivity.”

* Molly Ball details the inteptitude of Rick Santorum’s Illinois campaign.

* CNN breaks down the mechanics of Illinois voting and delegate selection.

* Jon Cohn notes ABA survey of “veteran observers” on likely outcome of ObamaCare case in Supreme Court: 85% predict the law will be upheld as constitutional.

* At College Guide, Daniel Luzer notes with satisfaction that the number of Americans taking the LSAT exam for admission to law school is dropping steadily.

* WI GOP Senate candidate Mark Neumann learns that when using a pig as a prop in a campaign appearance, the pig may have the final word.

And in non-political news:

* WaPo provides gallery of photos of cherry blossoms, which are now in glorious bloom.

Tonight the votes are counted in Illinois. My analysis will be featured early tomorrow, unless Santorum and Gingrich drop out and Mitt books a flight to Tampa, in which case I’ll post tonight.

Selah.
