Jeb Sends the Signal

So the effort to consolidate elite opinion behind Romney and push Santorum, Gingrich and Paul into folding their tents or at least curtailing their campaigns got off to a roaring start today. Jeb Bush has endorsed Romney, a mere thirteen months after National Review editor Rich Lowry called on Republicans to draft Jebbie for 2012.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Lowry and his magazine stepped up next to give Santorum the coup de grace.
