Continuing his efforts to keep the interest rate on student loans at a low 3.4 percent, President Barack Obama appeared “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” very early this morning.

The president discussed his student loan proposals in the show’s “Slow Jam the News” feature. Observe:

Yea, okay, that’s probably the most interesting discussion of financial aid policy I’ve ever heard.

About 2 million people watched Jimmy Fallon and President Obama’s performance. That’s apparently the show’s highest rating in two years.
