For the record, Newt Gingrich today pre-announced his announcement that he will “suspend” his campaign tomorrow, in a video addressing his creditors–oops, I mean “supporters”:

Key takeaway:

“I want you to know that we’re going to continue out there on the road. Both Callista and I will be talking, campaigning, making speeches, doing everything we can to help defeat Barack Obama.”

Is anyone in doubt that Newt Gingrich will still be “talking, campaigning and making speeches,” until his dying breath? Callista’s presence on the permanent campaign trail is a bonus offering, to ensure no words are left unsaid. To bad for the Gingriches, and for us long-suffering listeners, that the price per word he commands has really taken a plunge.
