Details are hazy at this point, but news outlets are reporting that two explosions occurred near the finish line of the Boston Marathon a bit before 3:00 EDT. Injuries definitely occurred, and Fox News is reporting at least three deaths.

I can’t reach the Boston Globe site, but Slate reports the Globe is talking in terms of “dozens” of serious injuries.

UPDATE: AP reporting two additional explosive devices found near Boston Marathon route, which are being dismantled. It looks like the theory it was just a gas leak isn’t holding up, though there are always early conflicting reports in a tragedy like this.

UPDATE II: Boston police are confirming that a third explosion occurred at the JFK Library, though apparently there were no injuries.
