The Washington Monthly is looking for bright and motivated interns for our D.C. offices beginning in the next few weeks. It’s not a paid internship, alas, but the interns get hands-on experience working on the print magazine and the website (research, fact-checking, promo, and writing), and the chance to say that they — along with Slate’s Jake Weisberg and the Washington Post’s Ezra Klein, among many others — got their start as Monthly interns. For application details, see here.
Paul Glastris is the editor in chief of the Washington Monthly. A former speechwriter for President Bill Clinton, he is writing a book on America’s involvement in the Greek War of Independence.
