* New study shows poverty negatively affects cognitive faculties and decision-making. It’s also really really bad for your health.
* At Ten Miles Square, Mark Kleiman discusses new DOJ policy on prosecution of state-licensed cannabis businesses. It’s very nuanced and potentially ambiguous.
* At College Guide, Daniel Luzer argues that the Department of Education needs to do a vastly better job of improving awareness of its own loan forgiveness and payment option programs.
And in non-political news:
* Last week’s Breaking Bad episode boosting sales of “tableside guacamole” at Albuquerque restaurant where crucial scene taped. Don’t think it was a “product placement,” but you never know.
