Role Model For Christie

Assuming Chris Christie’s national ambitions do take a big hit from “Bridgegate,” he can look a bit to the west for a role model in the redemptive power of unquenchable ambition: Bobby Petrino, apparently being hired once again as football coach for the University of Louisville after a decade of treachery and scandal (and intermittently, good football).

I don’t know that Christie will need to find a new state to rule, but he does need to figure out his next act if indeed the gates to the White House are barred to him. Even his putative standing as a future Attorney General of the United States could be in danger if people around him are indicted. It’s time for a new plan and maybe some happy feet.
