Y’all Come

Never one to pass up the opportunity to make a clumsy and predictable pandering gesture, Louisiana Gov. Bobby “Aging Boy Wonder” Jindal has another one, per the Times-Pic‘s Julia O’Donoghue:

Gov. Bobby Jindal welcomed New Yorkers who might be upset with the state’s Gov. Andrew Cuomo and his recent comments about “extreme” conservatives to relocate to Louisiana.

“Hey displaced and persecuted New Yorkers..You can find refuge, loving people and great food in Louisiana,” said Jindal on his Facebook page Tuesday. The governor also posted a Washington Examiner article on Facebook that slammed Cuomo for saying “extreme” Republicans had no place in New York’s elected offices.

Since Cuomo wasn’t talking about qualifications for citizenship in New York, but about the kind of people likely to be elected to office there, Bobby should have tailored his pitch to right-wing politicians. You know: C’mon down and enter our Jungle Primary and enjoy our byzantine political culture, where our conservative pro-family U.S. Senator and my likely successor is an admitted patron of prostitutes.

Then again, Eliot Spitzer and Anthony Weiner might answer the bell.
