I normally do not pay much attention to the president’s Saturday morning weekly address to the nation because it usually consists of the president exhorting the Republicans to do something sensible that they will only be all the more determined not to do having heard Obama recommend it. But, this morning, it wasn’t the president making the remarks. Instead it was the First Lady, talking about the 200 schoolgirls in Nigeria who were kidnapped, she says, because they refused to stop attending classes. Michelle also uses their example to encourage American kids not to take their studies for granted.
