* And in know-nothing news, Sarah Palin attacks Bowe Bergdahl for allegedly learning native languages while in captivity, instead of “speaking KickAss against those who would destroy the red, white, and blue.”
* At Ten Miles Square, Daniel Luzer offers a “political obituary” for Spanish King Juan Carlos I, who has announced his abdication.
* At College Guide, Robert Kelchen weighs the advantages and risks of creating a national “unit record database” for student demographics, performance, and career outcomes.
And in sorta non-political news:
* Man shows up at Georgia courthouse with guns and bombs, apparently ready to take hostages; wounds deputy sheriff and then is shot dead.
