Good Luck With That

This is kind of a mind-blowing fundraising effort on the Republican National Committee’s part:

President George W. Bush led our nation through some of the most challenging moments of our nation’s history — and we miss him and his leadership. In honor of President George W. Bush’s birthday, we’re offering a blue, special-edition “I Miss W.” t-shirt.

By sporting this comfortable, classic, American-made tee, you can share our message and help us elect principled conservative leaders to office.

Get your official “I Miss W.” t-shirt by contributing $27 today.

I know that there are many people who are unhappy with the current occupant of the White House and wish that a Republican were in charge, but I doubt that there are many people who sincerely miss George W. Bush. In fact, the first thing that man ever did to make me favorably disposed to him was to basically vanish off the face of the planet the moment the helicopter ushered him out of Washington DC.

As for me, that day he flew away was the happiest of my life.

I remember how the people cheered and sang Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye. It was beautiful.

I don’t expect to see anyone wearing an I Miss W t-shirt.
