A new CNN/ORC poll of adults (not registered voters) with partisan breakdowns shows Jeb Bush suddenly breaking out to a solid lead among GOP presidential proto-candidates, and also outpacing his leading rivals in trial general election heats against Hillary Clinton.

I dunno why the languorous performance of Jebbie has suddenly exploded into a big lead, though I would mention that the sample involved is very different from, say, likely Caucus-goers in Iowa. As for Jeb’s relatively strong performance against HRC, it’s interesting that Jeb hasn’t gained ground so much as other have lost it.

So color me skeptical about the Jeb Boom.
