British blues pioneer Long John Baldry was born on this day in 1941 (he died in 2005). He was friends with just about everybody who was anybody in the 60s British music scene, as reflected in this appearance on a 1964 Beatles TV special to sing Muddy Waters’ “Got My Mojo Working,” in which the Fab Four appear briefly singing backup vocals.
