New Year, New Education Site (Schoolhouse Voices)

Rfrf

In case you haven’t seen it, the AFT and friends have launched their own site on Medium called Schoolhouse Voices. It’s mission is “raising up the voices of educators, school staff, policy makers and leaders on issues that make a real difference at the school level.” So far, it’s featured stories by Randi Weingarten, Joshua Starr, and Hillary Clinton. It joins the Gates-funded solutions journalism site BRITE and a handful of others using the relatively new Medium platform. It joins The Seventy-Four, Education Post, and a few other outlets featuring education stories with a clear point of view.

If you enjoyed this article, consider making a donation to help us produce more like it. The Washington Monthly was founded in 1969 to tell the stories of how government really works—and how to make it work better. Fifty years later, the need for incisive analysis and new, progressive policy ideas is clearer than ever. As a nonprofit, we rely on support from readers like you.
