We at the Washington Monthly are planning extensive coverage for the midterms Tuesday night and would like you to join us as we document and analyze, in real time, one of the most consequential elections in any of our lifetimes. The 2018 elections are the first nationwide opportunity voters have to weigh in on Donald Trump’s presidency. Their decisions will shape the government for the next two years–at the local, state, and national levels–and help determine the character of our country.

The Washington Monthly will be providing fresh insights and commentary as returns come in throughout the evening. Our editorial staff will be live-blogging at 6 p.m. and continue until the wee hours of the morning, as winners are declared and trends emerge. We will also have several pieces interpreting the outcomes of House and Senate races, as well as state-level elections, constitutional amendments, and referenda across the country.

Be sure to join as we make sense of this historic night.
