UPDATING THE BIG BOARD…. Following up on the earlier look at the called states, the networks have also called Georgia and Alabama for McCain.
Depending on which news outlet you rely on, Obama, by virtue of an apparent victory in Pennsylvania, enjoys a lead in the electoral vote count, but it’s worth remembering that there still haven’t been any real surprises tonight, and no states have flipped from one party to the other yet.
Florida and Indiana remain very close, with Obama enjoying a narrow edge. Virginia shows McCain with an edge, but a lot of Northern Virginia hasn’t reported yet, and that’s Obama’s strongest part of the state.
