It’s that time of year again. March is the time of basketball finals, spring break, and yes, Dartmouth Idol, the annual American Idol-inspired contest where Dartmouth College students compete to be judged the school’s most talented singer.

The rapping white leather-wearing spaceman at 2:05 is Dartmouth President Jim Yong Kim.

According to Ivy Gate’s Constance Boozer, “with all due respect to whoever actually did win, we must declare that it’s Jim Yong Kim, not anyone else, who is our IvyPrez Idol.” College Guide agrees.

Kim wore black leather for last year’s contest, incidentally. What’s he going to do in 2012?

The actual winner was apparently Sarah Peck ’14.
