If Christian Right leaders were planning to initiate a Martyrs’ March to protest against their persecution by that powerful tribune of Big Poor, the Southern Poverty Law Center, this probably wasn’t the drum major they had in mind:

Bill Keller, the world’s leading Internet Evangelist and the founder of LivePrayer.com, with over 2.4 million subscribers worldwide reading the Daily Devotional he has written every morning for 13 years on the issues of the day from a Biblcial worldview, is planning to file a $100 million defamation lawsuit against the Southern Poverty Law Center for labeling him and his ministry as a “hate group.”

In an exclusive interview, Keller said, “The sad shooting the other day at the Family Research Council by a man who supports the radical homosexual agenda, was clearly fueled by the left wing group, the Southern Poverty Law Center. I receive at least 4-5 death threats a month for taking a Biblical stand on issues like homosexuality, the false religion of Islam and other cults, and the fact life begins at conception and choosing to end that life is nothing more than legalized infanticide.”

That, sports fans, was a pretty mild version of Keller’s “world view.” Here’s something a bit more characteristic, via RightWingWatch (another horrible persecutor of the Christian Right’s meek flock):

President Obama has proven by his words and deeds to be a true enemy of God as detailed in James 4:4. He has been the most pro-death President in history, supporting the legalized slaughter of innocent babies here and around the world, he is a staunch advocate of the radical homosexual agenda, and he has been a great friend to the enemies of Israel. On every major spiritual issue of the day, President Obama has proven to be an enemy of God and a true tool of satan!

Former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney is a 5th generation member and a priest in the satanically inspired Mormon cult. He and others in his cult LIE when they claim to be Christians, since Mormon doctrine is 100% inconsistent with Biblical Christianity and a Mormon is no more a Christian than a Muslim is. He deceives people by saying he believes in “God” and “Jesus” is his savior, when the “god” of Romney’s cult is NOT the God of the Bible, and their “jesus” is NOT the Jesus of the Bible. Romney and those in his cult believe the Bible to be a flawed and incomplete book and look at Biblical Christians as inferior and non-believers for rejecting the beliefs of their cult.

This jeremiad was unleashed as part of Keller’s campaign to convince people to write in Jesus’ name (presumably the very angry “Jesus of the Bible,” not the one worshipped by Mormons or “liberals”) for president in November.

It will be interesting to see if the FRC or any other Christian Right group–themselves often the target of Keller’s fury for consorting with Mormons and other devil worshippers–distance themselves from his lawsuit on grounds that he runs a “hate group.”
