Regular readers of the College Guide blog may have noticed somewhat more infrequently blog posts from me. An explanation is in order.

As of October 1 I started a new position as the news editor at Governing magazine, the national monthly publication whose subject area is state and local government in the United States. At Governing I’ll mostly be editing other writers’ pieces, but I’ll also be writing for the magazine (and the blog).

I’ll continue to post here at the College Guide semi-regularly, however, in addition to seeking out contributions from other writers.

Thanks for reading, and for your contributions to the comments. I’ll be sticking around.

Support Nonprofit Journalism

If you enjoyed this article, consider making a donation to help us produce more like it. The Washington Monthly was founded in 1969 to tell the stories of how government really works—and how to make it work better. Fifty years later, the need for incisive analysis and new, progressive policy ideas is clearer than ever. As a nonprofit, we rely on support from readers like you.
