Holiday Open Thread

No politics for me today; just got home late last night after the traditional Four Family Christmases in Georgia, and will commemorate the Feast of the Nativity as quietly as possible.

But please feel free to use this open thread to share any thoughts you have on the news of the day or the year we’ve just endured or the year just ahead. I’d also be interested in hearing about your best and worst holiday gifts, given or received.

The Washington Monthly was founded in 1969 to tell the stories of how government really works—and how to make it work better.
