This Weekend In Washington

Good morning, Animals! I’ll be sitting in this weekend as your guest blogger, trying to navigate between the barking dogs and panting Secret Service agents, high atop Capitol Hill.

When not blogging or playing the ukulele, I’m the Washington correspondent for AlterNet, where I spend a bit of time covering the right wing of the Republican Party. It’s kind of Kilgore to invite me into his parlor; hope I don’t knock anything over.

The Washington Monthly was founded in 1969 to tell the stories of how government really works—and how to make it work better. Fifty years later, the need for incisive analysis and new, progressive policy ideas is clearer than ever. As a nonprofit, we rely on support from readers like you.
