On March 17, 2007, after beating cancer and losing and regaining his voice, Levon Helm and his band played the Beacon Theater. It was a great personal triumph, and as you will see at the beginning of this clip, he offers his gratitude to his doctor. He got five more wonderful, music-filled years after this show. Tomorrow, May 26, he would have turned 73.
